
Funny People, a movie about George Simmons, played by Adam Sandler, who is a very successful actor and comediam, finds out that he has a rare blood disorder that will kill him within the next year unless some untested medicine can save him. Throughout his life he has always made the decisions that have made his very rich and very famous. When finding out about this very bad blood disorder he starts to go back to his roots in which brought him the life that he has always dreamed of when he was growing up. He meets Ira Wright who is played by Seth Rogan at a local comedy club in which George used to do stand up at. George likes what he hears and hires Ira as an assitant and a writer, because George wants to do more standup before he gets to ill. George also tries to get back into the life of his first love Laura, who is played by Leslie Mann, but finds out that he is breaking up a great family and also gets rejected by her old love, when she realizes that she is making a big mistake. George comes to find out that the medicine he is trying worked and that this whole experienced has changed his life in which he believes he needs to change and help out Ira get his career going. If you like some adult humor and need something to watch on a Saturday night, this would be a good movie flick to see. We give this two thumbs up. Written by movie critic: Adam Danch
